LLC OPEN BY APPOINTMENT FROM JUNE THRU OCTOBER We are retailers of extremely high quality carvings wood, specialty wood, burl slices, matched sets, figured woods, live edge slabs, etc. We are open by appointment and for mail order during the summer months and sell carving wood at several shows throughout the year. CARVING  STOCK Our carving stock is sawn out of our own logs and is air dried.  Feedback from most of our carving customers has indicated a preference for properly air dried wood over kiln dried.  Anything 2" thick or less we kiln dry. We provide quality wood and speedy, friendly service. BASSWOOD: Clear white Northern Basswood. Our most popular carving wood. An excellent wood for the knife carver. Takes paint beautifully. 1" - 4" thick with some 5" and occasionally 6"   BUTTERNUT: Tan in color with pronounced grain.  A soft wood for easy knife carving. Butternut is usually left natural as in interpretive pieces or sculpture where the grain brings the piece to life. We also have a small amount of "Buggy Butternut". 1" – 4" thick with some 5" & 6".   CEDAR: Our Atlantic White Cedar is great for working decoys.  Most pieces are clear but can have small knots.  3" & 4" thick   HARDWOOD BLOCKS: We have Walnut, Cherry, Mahogany, and Curly Maple blocks and boards for bases.  We also have an excellent assortment of hardwood Burl "slices" from ¾" – 2" thick that make beautiful, one-of-a-kind bases. SPECIALTY WOOD Our specialty wood inventory varies from day to day so there is not a set price list. The lumber is sawn in flitches or to maximize the figure.  If you are interested, please call for current inventory information and pricing.
